Biographies

 

Gary M. Troyan

    received his undergraduate degree (B.A. 1975, summa cum laude) from Bethany College, Bethany, West Virginia, and his law degree (J.D. 1978) from The Ohio State University College of Law.

    Since graduating from law school, Mr. Troyan has practiced primarily in the areas of business, tax and estate planning for small, closely-held businesses and their owners. Mr. Troyan works extensively on qualified (ERISA) and non-qualified retirement plans.

    Mr. Troyan is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association, where he has served on the Business, Tax and Probate Committees. He has also been active in various civic groups.

 

Robert T. Pappas

    received his undergraduate degree from Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota (B.A. 1981, cum laude) and his law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law (J.D. 1984, with honors) where he was a Senior Staff Member of the Ohio State Law Journal.

    Since joining the firm in 1984, Mr. Pappas has practiced primarily in the areas of business, tax and estate planning for small, closely-held businesses and their owners; estate planning for high net worth individuals; and probate.

 

John R. Perkins, Jr.

    received his undergraduate degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio (B.A. 1981) and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D. 1984) where he was a Member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review.

    Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Perkins practiced in the state and federal courts of Ohio as an assistant attorney general for the State of Ohio. Since Mr. Perkins joined the firm in 1986, he has practiced in the areas of business, real estate and employment law.

 

 

Matthew W. Gibson

    received his undergraduate degree from Colby College, Waterville, Maine (B.A. 2003) and his law degree from The Ohio State University College of Law (J.D. 2006) where he was an Associate Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Dispute Resolution.

    Since joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Gibson has practiced primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate and general business law.
